So after we moved to our new apartment Logan started sleeping really really well all the way through the night. I attribute this to him having his own room and being able to shut the door and have it be dark in there. However, for the last two weeks he has started getting up 3-4 times a week at about midnight and wanting to play until 5 am. Meanwhile he has also started refusing his naps. So now he is just cranky cranky all time time, and I'm not sure how much longer I can go before I just ship him off somewhere and sleep for a month straight. Luckily, my mom has volunteered to keep him til he turns 5, lol...DH is not amused.

I don't have any advice but he may be over tired. Babies that get this way have a more difficult time sleeping. As to HOW to get him to sleep...well, I'm about as helpful as a bag of potatoes. I'm sorry. I would ask if you've thought of ear infection, teething, hunger, tummy ache, etc, and of course any kind disturbance like from sickness or such...but I am positive you have. I think when he gets up in the middle of the night you may just have to CIO. It doesn't sound like he is getting enough sleep to me.

Gabriel sleeps from 8pm - 7am and has been now for a few weeks (*yay*). He is down to one nap a day pretty much, but it's a 2-3 hour nap. I DO FEEL YOUR PAIN! Gabriel has gone through bouts of similar sleep issues and I have contemplated sleeping in the car!!

No advice here either, but I feel your pain. DS#3 was a horrible, horrible sleeper. He was a pita to get to go to sleep and would wake up multiple times a night. We were very worried about how life would be when Caleb was born, but thankfully he started sleeping all night shortly after Caleb arrived. He was almost 3 at that point. Maybe he's working on molars or has something else that's bothering him? Or he's just overtired from not napping. Good luck, hope you both get some rest soon!

Any new skills he's working on or just acquired? Walking really upset DS's sleep. It's starting to get better, but moving is keeping him from STTN again right now.

And yeah, an overtired kid never seems to sleep. Wish I had a magic answer for that one!

Ava just started sleeping through the night about 3wks ago, so I feel your pain. No matter what I did nothing seemed to work, until she got tubes put in her ears. But the things I tried were, fan in the room for noise, leaving one of my shirts in her crib for the smell of me, shutting the door, leaving it open, thicker pjs, thinner pjs, one nap during the day, two naps during the day, different kinds of food to eat for dinner, drinking more milk before bed, leaving a radio on for noise, CIO, picking her up and bfing back to bed, bottle and back to bed, left a small bottle of water in bed.

Just some ideas, lol i'm sure you've tried these, but just in case, good luck!
