and HAD to go to the doc. The itching literally reached the point that my skin hurt and burned while it itched. Then if I did try to scratch it made my skin hurt worse. I was in tears by lunch time today. So I had them call a sub for the sub. Came back to town and went straight to Urgent Care. Now did I hear anything I didn't already know, from having dealt with this several times before. This doc was at least a bit more concerned with helping me. I have a 12 day round of steroids, a stronger anti-itch med(benadryl didn't even touch it), and an epi pen if I want it.

I am fairly sure I am allergic to Birth Control hormones. I have been off it the longest and had been improving. Then I quit Zyrtec and got worse again quickly. Long story short I've been to pharmacy twice today. After I finally got out of Urgent Care and WalMart I was itching so bad I could hardly stand it. I came home and took a shower and soaked in a tub of just water for a while. THen ran and got MaryBeth and went back to WalMart.

I'm glad you got some help and hopefully some medicine that will help that allergy! Sounds like you have definitely had an eventful day!

How is the itching? Is it better today? Ugh, I can't imagine, itching drives me absolutely insane. Glad you went and got meds to help. Hope you're feeling better today.

I am better. But forgot to put on lotion this morning so I'm a little itchy right now. Part of the allergic reaction continuing was most likely started with extra dry skin and not knowing what to trust to use. I have completely switched to aveeno soap and lotion. When the shampoo(Sauve Naturals Almond and Shea) and conditner(Rosemary and Mint Sauve Naturals) and face soap(Biore Belmish Fighting Ice Cleanser) run out I am switching those to Aveeno.

As for what I am allergic to I am pretty sure it is Beyaz. It was the birth control I was on. I have stopped it and this improved quickly, but then I quit everything and got worse quick. I should've figured it out quicker. I am not going to restart it or any other form of hormonal birth control. Many things suffer so much from it, more than its benefits bring. Still not sure at this point what we are going to do about birth control, especially if my cycles still aren't regular at least some form of regular. I am going to continue to lose weight and workout. Though I've been lazy about it this week. I worked out Monday morning and haven't since. I felt bad Tuesday and Wednesday and then Thursday and Friday mornings I felt so much better that I just wanted to lay in my bed an enjoy it since I felt so much better.
