So today I got results back from my beta and it was 342. According to the chart it says I am in my 4th week and that is about right. I figured I was only 15dpo when they took my blood. I go for a repeat blood draw tomorrow. Pray that they double for me!! After 1000 I can have my scan, so we want some big numbers!

I had foot surgery today. They cut some skin off and are having it tested for cancer. It hurts and I am supposed to stay off it for at least a week, which is nearly impossible with all of my appointments this week and next. So I will do my best to keep it up for the weekend at least.

I got my prescription for Lovenox and will be starting that tomorrow morning I guess and the nurse is supposed to show me how to inject it. It shouldn't be that much different than my insulin shots. Also I see the nurse from my diabetes endocrinologist to go over my bloodsugars and insulin levels. I will be getting my blood drawn too to check my a1c and my thryoid levels. After that I will need to go to another clinic where they will draw my hcg again. I don't know why they can't do it all at once, but they can't. Blah. Oh well.

I will be sure to let you all know how my upcoming dr.'s appointments go and the results from these tests. I am really trying to stay positive and think only happy thoughts because I want to enjoy every minute I have with my little bean. Dh and I even started thinking of names. Our thought process is that whatever name we agree on will tell us the sex of this baby. That is how it worked with Abby, so who knows. Its worth a try since we can't find out for several more months anyways.

I have a lot of the plate for next week. Monday I see the foot doctor to make sure I am healing. Wednesday is my ob appt, and thursday is my hematologist appt. I do hope that the dr. appt's will become a little less over the 2nd trimester, but I will do whatever it takes.

I'm glad that everything is going well so far! Yay! Here's hoping for bigger numbers!!

You know, DH and I were that way with names too. We NEVER agreed on a boy's name, but we got a girl's name both time fairly quickly.

Thanks girls. Looks like they want to check my hcg on Saturday instead of today. I just really wanted more assurance that this pregnancy is going well and I thought it was more accurate if it doubled in 48 hrs. I guess I will have to judge it to double every 48 hours, so it should be around 1400 by saturday right? And because of the test being run on saturday I probably won't get the answers until Monday..ggrrr.

Oh and I started the Lovenox this morning. It does burn, but its not too bad. I was scared at first and now, its nothing at all.

I am so glad that I am not the only one thinking of names right away. I wonder if we "really" have that intuition or if its just because we already had a girl. I keep thinking girl this time again, dh thinks boy, and my mom keeps saying "her", but I think that is out of habit because of Abby.

3 days from now will be one year since we heard those horrible words "there is no heartbeat" and 5 days from now is the day she came silently into this world. I just need to make it past Abby's birthday. That is my only real concern right now.

godd #s! doesn't it get old going to the doctor all the time? i know it has for me, but it is also nice to hear the heartbeat often and everything. the worst was going to the maternal-fetal medicine specialist b/c he is over two hours away from me. thank goodness i don't have to see him anymore!

the lovenox isn't too hard. stay a couple inches around/away from your bellybutton. right side one day, left side the next. pinch an inch and inject. it does sometimes sting quite a bit & watch out for bleeders. sometimes i don't bleed at all and other times it has ran down onto my pants. so now i have some folded up tp ready just in case for each shot.

Rhonda....

So do I have this right? Your bloodwork from 15dpo was 342? But two days before the HPT was negative? That is just crazy! What kinda of HPT did you use? One that reads at 200hcg? LMAO

I am glad the surgery went well and things will be settling down for you soon.

I can't wait to hear what the new numbers are.

Lots of sticky baby and healing foot coming your way!

Yay for good numbers!

Wow though, you have a ton going on! I am glad the shots aren't too bad and hope all the doctors appts turn out well. I'll be sending you strength and prayers to get through Abby's upcoming birthday.

Please KUP on all your appts

Oh I am sorry that was a bit confusing. I tested at 12dpo and got a bfp, I got a bfn on 10dpo. I actually didn't test on 11dpo, so its hard to say if it would have been + then or not. I got the blood draw on 16dpo, so 4 days after my +hpt. I ended up using $ store test and saw a very faint line with fmu, but you know my history with those, so dh and I went out and bought frer's and held my pee for about 3 hours and sure enough a nice pink line showed up. I swear by the FRER's.
