We had BAD storms last night and it knocked down power lines and trees. And wouldn't you know it, it also knocked out the power to the hosiptal where my doctors office is. So I got my monthly check up in the dark this morning
I was kinda suprised that they did not cancel but since I was the 2nd appointment for the day and it was an ez appointment it's all good. I got to hear my little boy's HB and that is what it is all about anyways.
It was so funny b/c when I went to give them my urine sample the nurse told me to just leave the door cracked so I could see what I was peeing on. It was an interesting doctors visit!
So baby is fine and was kicking at the dopplar And my fat butt has gained 8lbs since my appointment last month!!! So I am now 5lbs over my pre-pregnancy weight and I am offically the weight I was when I delivered DD almost three years ago I feel huge!
My blood preasure is fine and everything else is good. It was my doctors birthday today so he was in a good mood so I did not get a lecture about my weight YAY. But I did talk to him about how I have been feeling really hungry and thirsty lately. And how I have been checking my blood sugars b/c I think I may be getting gestational diabetes again. He agreed that my fasting numbers being over 100 was worrisome so I have my Glusoc screen next week.
But so far it is a good day. Baby is healthy and my house had no storm damage YAY!
I'm glad they didn't cancel and that you got to hear the baby's heartbeat! What an interesting appt. You'll definately have to write that down in your pregnancy journal. If you are anything like me, I was (still am) a POASaholic so I could pee in a cup in total darkness and not miss a drop. LOL Do you think I could classify that as a stupid human trick
