so i just need to vent about feeling worried. part of it is because the doctor said this little girl is small sized. i am okay if she is petite, but i don't want her to be too small. i am afraid of her being born too soon. i am afraid that i will start really feeling comfortable about all this and something sudden will happen.
also i got my tax refund and so i am planning on really starting to buy some needed baby items (the crib mattress, the pack & play, maybe a rocking chair.....) but it is making me nervous b/c i am always afraid to buy something. i have bought a few things off & on, but i worry what if i get the wrong things? what if i forget something i need? do i know what i need for a baby? what if i buy all this stuff & something goes wrong?

okay- there is my little freak out. i will be okay.

I am sorry you are feeling stressed but those are definately normal feelings. I would just say in regard to shopping that if it isn't fun then don't do it and try not to tackle too much at once. Maybe just get the necesseties like carseat, crib mattress, and a few clothes and then get the rest once the baby is here. Trust me, you can't buy too much and if your unsure if you'll use it then don't open it until you're sure you'll use it. Whatever you don't open you can take back and pick out more fun stuff If there is something that you really need that you forgot then you can always buy it after the baby is here. You'll want to take your little girl out and show her off to the world eventually

I really hope she starts to gain more weight but it seemed like the doctor is okay with her current stats, she's just being a little cautious and keeping her eye on things. When is your next visit?

Hugs Hugs Hugs Hugs.

my next ob visit is may 8th and we will be scheduling an ultrasound for sometime after that (maybe the next week).

& i just ordered the baby's bedding (it was the one we wanted & i found it for cheaper than i thought so i got the matching hamper, rug, lightswitch cover, and a lined wicker basket)! and they had it in stock so i should be getting it this week. justin talked me into going ahead and ordering it. and it was pretty fun. yay!

oh that is just beautiful !!!!!

you know hon, it is so normal "freak out" !
I do it all of the time

I think as far as buying things, you don't have to get EVERYTHING at once KWIM? just use your common sense and get what you will need when your little girl first comes home, don't stress about all of that baby gear out there, it is overwhelming. check out the Parents Checklist in our Helpful Forum, its a big help. You & your little girl will be fine sweetie !!!!!!!

Oh, I have no advice for you as I have never bought one thing for any of my babies. But, I feel ya on the "do I know what I need for a baby" question. I have always thought to myself, I sure hope to heck there is some sort of checklist bc if not, I'm screwed!

Love the bedding!!

Hope this process gets easier for you dear!

Her beding is so pretty! And that is a good price. GO YOU!

It is easy to be overwhelmed by all the baby stuff out there. Just remember babies have been around longer than all the stuff has and they have grown up fine. In fact our cribs were painted with lead paint and we are fine! Just take it slow and remember that you will be getting gifts from family and friends so don't buy too much.

I hope your little one has a nice growth spurt between now and the next doctors appointment!
