Hi everyone,
I just posted this in TTC after loss but realized it was in the wrong section.

I had 2 m/c after my son was born . One at 5w 4d last March and this past august at 7w4d. My Gynocologist (sp??) put me on 5mg of folic acid and said to continue to take materna. My family dr told me (after both miscarraiges) that my iron was SUPER low and told me to get (over the counter) iron pills that are 300mg.
SO, to be on the safe side I am taking: The Iron pills, Materna, the 5mg of folic acid, B12 (b/c I heard it's good to take in pg) and a baby asprin everyday.
I am still very early in this pregnancy but I am just so worried it will happen again. When I was pregnant with my son I had no porblems whatsoever.

if your dr's said you need them and they are okay during pregnancy, I am sure you are safe!! the vitamins are SO important for a healthy baby, they can reduce your risk of miscarriage, I hope that makes you feel better.

Hi there, I am sorry for your loss. I have a couple blood disorders, and one of them means that my body cannot properly process any B vitamins, including Folic Acid (which is SOO important in pg). So, I am on Metanx, in addition to other things to thin my blood. I am sure the things the doctor has prescribed are going to HELP you hold onto that baby. I hope everything turns out for the best, and I would suggest talking to your doctor if you don't understand something or have concerns. GL sweetie!

Congrats on the new little bean!!! Wishing you a H&H 9 months. The 1st trimester is a very scary time! We have all been there and no fear is to weird b/c we have probably felt the same thing So please post as much as you want.

I would not worry about being on TOO many vitamins. If your body does not need them you just pee them out. At least that is my understanding of how the human body works. But if you feel unsure just ask your OB.
