Ok so I know you are suppoused to go to the doc as soon as possible but I am trying to stay relaxed and unstressed about this pregnancy. I already have prenatals cuz of the miscarriage in feb so they are still good and i have been taking them.
So my question is how long is it ok to wait before going to the doctor?
I just don't want to get all stressed out and i know that whatever happens is going to happen so do you think it is ok to wait a few more weeks?

I saw my dr. at 6wks 4days and saw the heartbeat.

I know some dr's dont see women til the 2nd trimester, so it should be okay to wait. for me the appts really help me stay relaxed.

I didn't do bloodwork this time and didn't want to go in until I was at least 7 weeks. I ended up going in at 7w4d and am happy I waited. I think not stressing about the bloodwork helped a lot this time.

I figured it would be ok I just didn't know for sure last time all i did was stress about hcg levels and ultrasounds and i so don't want to do that I figure as long as my poas line keeps getting darker and i have no bleeding i am ok to wait. I was thinking about scheduling an apt for 7 or 8 weeks but i don't want to h ave a transvaginal ultrasound it just feels to weird! and i don't think they can see a heartbeat that early on a regular ultrasound machine can they?

I would call and set up an appointment just so you are not stuck waiting if your doc has a lot of patients. You could always set it for a few weeks out if you want to.

I am not sure if they can get an early HB on a reg u/s...I have always had the transvag ones early on. Yes they feel weird but do you really care if you get to see your sweet baby?

I can understand wanting to wait a few more weeks....its too stressful when dr.s start so early !!

I was just about 6 weeks this time around and had a transvaginal u/s and saw the hb....also had one at 9 weeks....all of the rest have been abdominal. Keep taking those prenatals and dont worry
also this time around, I didnt get hcg levels done and what a relief that was ! I totally agree with Danica on that one !!!!!!
It made the 1st trimester sooooooooooo much easier for me!

Good luck and let us know what you decide !

to be honest, i had blood work done then called my Dr and booked a appointment for 11 weeks. i had the u/s at 8 weeks and 4 days. but that was just to do the due date check and to make sure the blood was at the level it should be. I wanted to wait longer to see my dr, just in case something happened.

i can't stand the doctors that make you wait forever, i mean you need to make sure everything's ok right?? luckily the one i have now sees you right away and i went to my first appointment at 5 weeks and they did a vaginal ultrasound and saw the sac but no fetal pole or anything (bc it was soo early) and they had me come back at 7 weeks just to confirm it was viable and i had another vaginal ultrasound and there was our little baby blob with a heartbeat that we could hear! since then its pretty much been every 4 weeks.
