Sorry ladies I've been gone for a while. We've been in the process of moving and unpacking. We finally got our internet up on Tuesday. Man I'm tired

I started having what I thought was new baby movement in my lower abdomen yesterday. But as the day went on it started getting really uncomfortable and was feeling like a contraction. So I called my Dr. and they wanted me to come in at 10:30a.m. today to have me checked. But my manager at the hospital I work at told me we were understaffed and I couldn't go. Yeah. I'm not happy. So I called and explained it to the office and they got me in at 3 and my charge nurse let me go. But turns out I'm having braxton hicks contractions already. I'm only 22 weeks along. He checked my cervix and he said it was long, high, hard and closed. So it's not preterm labor thank god.

Did anybody else have these this early??? Is this a sign I might go into labor early? Just wondering. I'm hoping not because my husband and I are planning a trip to Italy at the end of July. (He has to go for work and we only have to pay for a ticket for me) Anyway thanks for any responses.

Hi Amanda, As long as you do not get more than 4-6 an hour you are just fine

I have had them since about 13 weeks, and now I get them several times a day, sometimes 3-4 an hour. I do have a history of PTL, but geting them this early does not mean you will have PTL. you actually have these your whole pregnancy to prepare you for birth, some women just dontfeel them til later, others feel them earlier.

Just make sure you do not have more than 4-6 an hour, if you do then go in.
