when you have a c-section.....do you still "deliver" the placenta? or is it taken out during surgery?
Someone told Mick she had to deliver hers....
we were just curious.....lol

I have never had one so no idea, lol, i would imagine they would just take it out right then....

I had to have a c-section with Alex, and they take the placenta out while your open. you dont deliver it.
they pop the water bag and you can feel it go up your back..lol..its really warm.

ewww...water up the back? I lucky did not feel that when I had my c-section with Kaylie. My epi was really good

Dee...I did not have to deliever my placenta. They took it out when they were in there getting Kaylie.

LOL! I agree.


The reason they take it out then is because your uterus would have to contract to push out the placenta, and they don't want a just-sewn-back-together uterus doing that!
