Even ppl who arent on the larger side who are pregnant with their first dont feel the baby at 17 weeks often... and even some on their second or third! it all depends on the baby and how active they are!

Im sure your little one is just fine... and by the time you are 24 weeks im sure youll be feeling movement..

The placement of the placenta can affect things too. My placenta with Erin was up front by my belly button and it muffled EVERYTHING. This part of the pregnancy you're in was one of the hardest for me, because you have that "I should be feeling more" mindset, because there are people who ARE feeling more.

I bet everything is okay. You can always call your Dr. if you're really worried.

Im sure everything is fine! And there are many factors that can influence when you feel baby! I freaked out and rented a doppler just to be sure the baby had a heartbeat...now I can feel the movements, so I barely use it unless I havent felt anything all day...but it did help get me through the worrying stage until I felt him move.

I do hope you can feel baby move soon and be reassured...give him/her time to grow and get stronger.

I have no idea on this one, but think the doppler sounds like a good idea. I found a cheapie on EBay called Angel Sounds($35), but have heard really great things about it. I hope you get to feel your little one very, very soon!
