Well, I didn't get my gtt which I had a feeling I wouldn't. I will have it done in just over a week, have to buy my own drink and will have to be there for 2 hours. Thank goodness it's on a Sunday so my hubby can have our toddler.

Amy, my midwife, is so wonderful. She will listen and answer your questions and not make you feel rushed.

I found out that I will have my next apt at 28 weeks, then I will go every 3 weeks until I hit 34 weeks then will be seen every 2 weeks. I don't go weekly unless I go a week past my due date. They don't induce unless you are 2 weeks late. I am so relieved to see more care coming, I was so concerned and completely clueless so I feel so much better now.

Then she tried to listen for her heartbeat. I have yet to hear it this pregnancy because last time she just wouldn't sit still. Well, same thing again, little sausage wouldn't sit still. I told her it was ok (I could feel her moving so I knew she was ok) but Amy said no, she was determined and finally, we heard it!!! I thought I was going to cry, she even let me use my cell phone to record it for my hubby.

All in all, I feel so wonderful about today

Oh, and I found out that I will labor and have the baby in a private room and then be transferred to a room on another ward that isn't private. So I will have to deal with making sure my privacy curtain is pulled. I did ask if I got the antibiotics in time and all was well with delivery and baby, could I go home early and she said they may let me but not sure how they would work it out. So at least I don't have to labour with other women, whew.....

I also have been told I have Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction (SPD). I'm trying get through the pain but she said if it gets to be too much to make an apt and she will get me some help for it. It started just over a week ago but for the past few days, it hasn't been too bad so hopefully I'll be ok with the pain.

Thanks for reading ladies.

Thanks so much ladies, I was so excited and I still feel so happy about yesterday!!! I played her heartbeat for my hubby and he was so happy to hear it too. He's been to just about all my apts with this baby so he was just over the moon to hear it.

I have worn down my phone battery listening to it though...lol. My mom got to hear it too while I was on skype with her. She was trying not to cry but I'm so glad I got to share with her.

Oh, that is so sweet about the heartbeat....

I am glad they will start seeing you more often now, that is exciting!

Also, happy to hear that you won't have to share a room while you are laboring.....that wouldn't be any fun!

Anyhow, thanks for the update and glad to hear all is well with you and baby!
