So I had a miscarriage several years ago and though it was not a planned pregnancy at the time it affected me profoundly. I recently found out that I am pregnant after six months of trying and this time around I am crazy paranoid! I'm not sure if I overdid it today or if this is normal. I did several loads of laundry which involved dragging baskets of clothes up and down the stairs and scrubbed down the bathroom. I started getting some pretty bad cramps after that but I didn't have any spotting. I took a long nap and just woke up and feel fine now. Is it normal to have cramping from time to time or should I take it a little bit easier? How do you guys not freak out and get worried about every little thing after a loss?

I would try to take it easy just to be safe. My dr told me cramps were fine as long as there was no accompanying bleeding.

As Ashley said, try and take it easy. I had some cramps at the beginning but I too was told they are normal. I'm now 25 weeks along and everything is great!!!

I always say, take it one day at a time. I know after a mc, all we do is stress and worry.

If you ever get to the point where you just need reassurance, call your doctor. That's what they're there for.

PS!!! Congrats and welcome!

I agree with the other ladies. I cramped for the first few weeks. I think that's normal as long as no bleeding.

Just wanted to add that it is normal to overdo it, and start cramping. As long as it goes away with rest, I would not worry. Same thing happened to me, and now I am almost 22 weeks!
