Hello, I am Alicia, coming over from TTCAL. I have been a member of JM for just over 2 months. I joined for support after losing our son at 20 weeks on July 10, 2008.

As you can see by my siggy, I am married to Josh and we have 3 boys, 2 here with us and our Angel in Heaven. I am 29 and will be married 11 years this year!

I found out yesterday we are expecting #4 I am currently 4w1d and due 5-25-2009. I am terrified!

My first 2 pregnancies were very normal. My 3rd was awful. I started bleeding at 5w6d and was diagnosed with a subchorionic hemorrhage. A SCH is where the egg pulls away from the side of the uterus during implantation and causes a bleed behind the chorion. Almost always they are a very mild complication and many women don't even realize they have one. Those that do have symptoms usually have them resolve before the end of the first trimester.

Unfortunately we were not one of the lucky ones. I bled every day from 5w6d until our son was born at 19w6d. I was in and out of the hospital and ultimately my placenta abrupted causing me to go into labor. I hemorrhaged very heavily during labor and delivery and was very close to dying on the delivery table. It was the scariest thing my husband and I have ever gone through, yet, here we go again.

I look forward to getting to know everyone!

Welcome and Congrats on your bfp!!

Pregnancy after a loss is always much harder, but the girls are great here to help get us through the hard times. I hope you find as much comfort here as I have. I hope you have a very happy and healthy and uneventful 9 months here. I am looking forward to getting to know you better.

I am 29 and dh is 31 and we don't have any living children yet. Our first was stillborn at 27w5d. We found out later that I have a few blood clotting disorders, so now I take blood thinners. If you ever need to talk, feel free to PM me.

Hi Honey welcome and CONGRATS..Im so sorry for the loss of your son. Everyone here is super supportive and very helpful and caring. I lost my son at 21 weeks due to incompetent cervix and have had a whirlwind of a pregnancy so far this time and these ladies have been my shoulders to lean on and my teachers as well....

Many prayers for a safe and healthy pregnancy!
