Yesterday I had a small amount of brown spotting. I didnt worry about it too much because there was so little of it and it was mixed with creamy CM so it looked like there was more than there realy was. I didnt have anymore after that. I got a call from my doctors office and my HCG numbers were 919 on Thrusday and 3143 on Saturday. I was really excited. Everything is okay. I still have to use my progesterone. Two minutes after I get off the phone with the DR's Office, I go to use the ladies room and there is brown Blood/CM on my panty liner, again it is mixed with creamy CM. Its a little darker brown than yesterday.

From what I understand is that brown is okay.

I am really nervous. Scared. I feel like a basket case. I cant even function because I am so happy that I am pregnant and so freaked out about everything else.

How many of you have had spotting like this? I feel like I am the only one. I dont want to talk about it in my DDC cause I dont want to freak anyone else out and TTCAL doesnt seem like the right place either.

My ultrasound is 8 days away.

You're not the only one who has experience this!! A lot of women here have. I did with both my previous pregnancies with no apparent reason (this time I haven't thank goodness).

Are you using suppositories? If so it's really easy to irritate your cervix, which is swollen with blood right now, and easily disturbed.

You're NOT alone!

I spotted just about every day right up to the second trimester. It sucks...but it is perfectly normal. Mine was even red at times. Very scary...but you have to think positive. Those number rock! I would just try to focus on that

Sticky to you!!!

I had brown spotting in the beginning of this pg and when I asked my doctor about it she said it was most likely old blood left over from implantion. I know worrysome it can be but just remember that they always say brown blood is old blood.

i had brownish pink spotting at 7 weeks, and the nurse said it was implantation bleeding (yes even at 7 wks!) she said it could take that long to finally come out. i think as long as it stops, and it's light and brown w/ no cramping, it should be ok. if it continues or gets red then i'd be worried.

Well, you definitely came to the right place! Although, I have not had spotting with this pg, it seems many of the other girls have. Those numbers are so great though, I wouldn't even give it much thought. They say that once you start spotting, it is already too late (WHEN there is a mc pending) and bc your numbers are so good, it doesn't make any sense that you would be in any trouble. KWIM? Hope that makes sense. I bet it is left over IB.

By the way, congrats!!

I agree with the ladies, brown blood is old blood. I too had spotting, pink, and after the second time found out it was due to a fibroid just below the placenta. If you get too worried, call your doctor.

Your numbers sound so great and I can't wait to hear your update from your u/s.

Congrats on your BFP honey!! I had spotting with this pregancy every few weeks. At 6wks 7wks 8wks and last at 10 wks, bright red bleeding. I had scans every time, and bloodwork came back great with heartbeats everytime. Doc says some times they just have no anwsers, and that it is far more common that reported.
Can't wait for your ultrasound, stay postive, your not alone!

From what I've heard, brown is completely normal. Try not to worry (I know easier said than done) We are all here for you. Those are great numbers.

I spotted from 6w to 9w, usually brown, but a few times bright red. My RE did tell me that when your progesterone levels fluctuate (which can happen if you start to get dehydrated) that spotting can be associated with that.

I had brown spotting too, and the doctors toldme it was old implatation bleeding, so I would not worry too much about it, I know, it's easy to say...
If you are really worry I would call your doctor. Try not to stress out too much about it.

Thanks Ladies! I did have bright red spotting with my daughter. Maybe this is just how my body works. Nothing ever seems normal when it comes to my body. I think I am just stressing because I have wanted this for so long and I am afraid that I would loose this one.

Sorry you are having this spotting. I know its scary, even more so after a loss. I have never had spotting before except when I was starting to mc before, and then around 6-7 weeks with this pregnancy I was spotting very pink. Brown is good because that means old, but apparently sometimes we just spot in the first trimester. Those are some great numbers though so just keep thinking about that. Also I have heard that spotting with twins is common, so maybe you will be our next twin momma? lol Only 7 more days now until that beautiful u/s!!

It sounds like you are in the best place here, Vanessa, so many ladies w/ good information for you on this. I agree with them. I hope it goes away, because I know how scary spotting of any kind can be!
