~It can't start with an E, or a C. I don't really want to repeat letters. I don't want to repeat mine or DH's either (M and B ) but it's more of a guideline than a rule on those two.
~Nothing that sounds like Cora or Erin, or like our last name (Cannady, pronounced Can-uh-dee)
~It shouldn't be more than 2 syllables. We have a 3 syllable last name, so a shorter first name would be better.
~I don't want it to have 4 letters. Both Cora and Erin have 4 letters and I don't want to be "trapped" into a theme. But if the perfect name DOES have 4 letters...well....I'll deal.
~I really don't want it to be in the top 50 most popular names.
~I'm really liking Alexander as a middle name, and I *think* I have DH agreeing with that. So a name that sounds okay with Alexander would be good.
Anyway, thanks in advance for any suggestions. DH is driving me crazy and I really want a name for this little guy. I keep trying to talk to him, and I don't have anything to call him but "baby" and it's driving me crazy!! ARGH.
Maybe one of you can come up with something that DH will like. Even if he doesn't think it's perfect, then maybe it'll give him a direction, kwim?
I would love to use Reese. But....my SIL who has been TTC unsuccessfully for the past 5 years has Reese at the top of her list for a boy. So I just can't use it. I can't rub the fact that I get pregnant easily in her face like that.
Britt, I think everybody has given you great suggestions and I'm out of names....
I really like the name Bjorn, others that I can think of are Dean, Lee
I'll keep thinking of names
I'm no help w/ lists of names, I have to think about it for awhile. Why don't we start up a Boy Name game, the A-Z thing. We can just keep it going and come up w/ all kinds of stuff. How's that sound to everybody?
Thanks ladies! I sat DH down with a list yesterday, and he kept making jokes about every name, not taking it seriously at all. I finally gave up and went to read in bed because he was frustrating me. Then he came in and told me about a friend of his whose wife is due Nov. 7th with a boy and they still don't have a name and I told him it's really driving me crazy and we can't go that long.
We'll see if I get a serious conversation out of him.
Some of those names are on my "really like" list.
So far my fav for right now is Garrett Alexander and he doesn't totally hate it....so....
