My parents are divorced, and his are not. I have 4 brothers, and 2 sister, and DH only has 1 sister.

We do X-mas differently at each house. On my mom's side we draw names, on my dad's and DH's side we do everyone!! We have to save for months for X-Mas. buying for everyone might have to change soon!!

We buy for our whole families. Luckily, our families are small. We buy for MIL, FIL and BIL on his side, then my mom, sister and grandma. This year, the gifts will be Zoe centered. LOL

His mom and I are close, so I buy for his mom. Everyone else is on their own, That's not as cruel as it sounds. BF is an only child with a few cousins to shop for while I have to fit in parents, 5 brothers, 3 sisters, a nephew and only goodness knows how many cousins I keep in close contact. I'm getting tired just thinking about all that gift wrapping.

I buy for everyone but get Travis' okay for his parents gifts before I purchase. Most the time I leave the idea for Travis' dad's gift up to Travis because I have no idea what to get him...

Both families have pretty much stopped buying gifts for everyone. We usually get together and just do a "white elephant" exchange so we each bring something worth $15-$20. Sometimes we do little stocking stuffer type gifts for people to. If we see something that "calls their name" we may get it and stuff it in their stocking. Everyone still buys for the kids, though. My niece is 17 and my nephew is 3 so they still get plenty of attention. I'm sure this baby will get totally spoiled too.

I do all the shopping. If i left it for Dwayne to do it, he would wait till
Christmas day. LOL..

But We mainly buy for our children (there is 5 of them) and if theres some spear money we will pick up for others. But just the kids and grandparents on both sides.

I only buy gifts for my parents, sister, and DH. My grandparents never want anything. They just tell me to keep my money and use it for other things because they have enough things already.

DH & I just buy $50 Visa gift cards for them. Since we live across the country from each other, it saves a lot of money in shipping costs. If we were to buy gifts and ship them, the shipping ends up costing more than the gift.
