I have Cora's picture, ceramic bears spelling out her name (that my sister painted) and a couple of other things out on a shelf. The only thing is, Erin is now tall enough to reach everything, and she's constantly pulling the bears down, and has knocked everything else over a couple of times. I don't really have a higher place to put it...and we're moving in a month anyway, so I think I might just have to pack the things up before Erin breaks something.
I don't think I need to tell you ladies how sad this makes me.
I know it is really sad to pack them up, but after you get moved and settled in you might find a better place to display them without them getting damaged. Its sad to put them away, but it would break your heart even more if you had to throw them out because they were broken.
I have dogs that get into everything and I can't keep any of my favorite items out where they can get to them. They have wicked tails that knock everything over. I have already cried over one of her special dolls getting broken. I just cant stand to think of anything else getting destroyed. Someday you will be able to bring it all back out and Erin will be old enough to "know better" then.
Thank you Mistyx5 for my siggy.
I agree with everyone else, as hard and sad as packing them up is, it's much better than having them broken. And soon you will be in your new home and you will be able to put them somewhere very special.

BTW did you guys decide where you were moving?[/b]
Sort of. DH has another interview in Denver on Dec. 4th. If he gets that job (crosses fingers!!) we'll obviously be moving there. (he's actually interviewing for a position in Denver and one in Dallas for the same company, so maybe Dallas?)
If not, we're going to be moving to a larger town not far from here, so that we don't have to worry transferring medicaid and changing doctors and all that jazz.
But that doesn't mean we have a definite apartment lined up. I'm working on that.
