So I went in today for my bpp and everything looked great!! Hannah is such a good little girl. She flipped and is now head down like she should be. She scored 8 out of 8. She wasn't too active, but it was her nap time. To my surprise the dr. came in and said, have we talked induction yet? And I said we have talked about it all along, but nothing in stone. He said, its time to set a date then!! I was in shock. So he said somewhere between the 5th and 7th. I opted for the 7th because it will give her a little more time to come on her own and also the 5th is a friday. I was induced with Abby on a Friday and I just want this experience to be completely different. Kwim? If she decides that she wants out on Friday then so be it, but I don't want to be induced like I was before.
So ladies I only have 13 more days before she will be here!!! Woohoo!! I am getting so excited. Oh and he mentioned inserting something called cervigel? He said it is like a shoe lace that goes in and softens the cervix. Anyone had this done before? He said they will do that the night before to "ripen" the cervix and induce me the next day. He said I should be ok with induction since I have had a baby before. Oh I just hope she decides she should come on the 6th instead!! lol
Thank you Mistyx5 for my siggy.
EEEEEK! OMG, I am so freakin excited for you. I'll be crossing my fingers, legs and toes that Hannah decides to come on her own so you don't have to be induced but like Sacha said, no matter which day she comes everything will be great!
ETA: You're at the front of the line now and you will get to take home your prize.
OMG Rhonda - that is so exciting!! I don't know much about Cervadil, but from what I have heard they can do 1-2 doses 12 hours apart, and usually does a good job. Sometimes, it even puts you into labor on its own so you don't have to be induced.
I just can't believe how close we both are. This is it honey, Hannah will be making her appearance very shortly!
