Ok you ladies are the only place I can turn for this kind of advice ...partly because I get to hide behind my post in embarrassment ...When a dr says "no intercourse" does that rule out "no orgasms" too????????
I just had to ask...

Here is the definition of intercourse from worldnet dictionary:

sexual intercourse: the act of sexual procreation between a man and a woman; the man's penis is inserted into the woman's vagina and excited until orgasm and ejaculation occur.

Sexual activity in which the penis is inserted into an orifice such as the vagina or anus; the term is often modified accordingly (eg anal intercourse).

I never thought of orgasm as intercourse....to me that seems the result of it.

I always heard no big O if told to avoid sex because it can cause your uterus to contract. BUt I've never been told to not have sex, I just never feel like it when I'm pregnant

pcgirl thanks for the definition but hmmm I'm thinking Susan's right...the O makes the uterus contract and I think my dr doesn't want that happening! Darn...well thanks for helping me figure it out.

Well to be honest when I first had my m/c I coud have sworn it was because I had 2 orgasms in one day..(the next day is when I spotted..which lead to the m/c) So next time no big O's for me!! I am just gonna wait until I get way farther along in my pregnancy..And when I went into labor with my daughter 14 years ago..at 38 weeks it started out with a orgasm..I do know your uterus contracts..I would talk to your doctor about it though..I am just going by my personal experience!!
