Just wanted to let you ladies know that I am 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced. I know that doesn't necessarily mean anything, but my DH is now freaking out.....LOL!!!! I was like, honey, you know we are having a baby, right?! LOL!

We asked the doc what his experience was and he laughed.....I guess he could be here tomorrow or not for another 3-4 weeks. Who knows, but I hope not too soon. Too much to do still.

You better get going girl! It's going to be any day now. I guess you are never really completely ready. There is always something else you can do no matter how much you try. I am just want him to come already. I feel like I have waited a whole year for this baby to come. I guess you feel the same way eh?

Yay for progression!! That is great news.

Its got me wondering why they haven't even checked my cervix since I went to the ER almost 4 weeks ago?? Oh well I guess it doesn't really matter at this point because if she comes they won't stop the labor anyways and if she doesn't come then they will still induce me. Oh and my dh is starting to freak out too since the dr. said she will be here by the 8th! I think it finally hit him when the dr. said that. Men are funny aren't they.

Yes, they are! I find it so funny how they react to things sometimes! LOL! I wouldn't worry about them not checking your cervix because I guess it really doesn't mean anything. My doctor said one of his patients walked around being 4 cm dilated for weeks! Can you imagine that?! I would be going out of my mind...

Sabina - I know girl!!! I have been waiting for this little guy for so long, now that it is just right around the corner, I am like OMGosh, what have I forgotten to buy, what am I not thinking about, etc, etc!! I am a big time planner and not knowing exactly what I am going to need is a scary proposition but I guess that is what stores are for, huh?! And, at the same time being so excited to meet him that I can't stand it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a RUSH!!

Anyhow, I have a question for all you ladies.......how long is spotting supposed to last from a cervical exam? I have been having spotting / blood globs (sorry TMI) since y-day afternoon. I am 95% sure it is from the exam but not sure how long this should continue before I should start thinking it is something else like bloody show?

I'm laughing at your DH because my BF is the exact same way. It's funny how he's playing it marginally cool right now but I KNOW he'll be all frantic over the simplest things soon.

After my last cervical exam I spotted for a couple days and I was ALARMED, but my experience comes with a grain of salt because I have no idea what a bloody show is like.

Honestly I have had nothing for Benjamin. It's great when they are little b/c you can walk around Walmart at midnight and they just sleep in their car seats. Don't stress yourself about it. If you need something you can just go pick it up. That's what DH's are for

Victoria,

I can not believe how close you are now !!! Time has just flown by !

the spotting is probably from the exam but I am not sure......is it mixed with mucus?

here is a link I found since I never had that !

the spotting could be that they knocked your left over plug and as you are dilating more it is all coming out now!

Hi ladies, thanks everyone for your input.....well, the spotting has all but stopped(yes, it was mixed with mucous), so it obviously was from the exam. Well, that's good, more bake time is fine with me.
