Some of you may know me but I thought I would do an intro because I just got a BFP!! Actually I started seeing a faint line a few days ago but wanted to make sure it was getting darker and it is! I am April and DH and I have been TTC #1 since Dec. 06. We got pg on our own three times in 2007 and those all resulted in m/c. We were referred to an RE and did a bunch of testing. The only thing that came back as a possible cause was that I have a MTHFR mutation. When we started monitoring my cycles and follicles we also noticed that I can produce follicles but they didn't mature well so maybe when I fertilized an egg it wasn't mature enough to devolop. So we did follistim and I had two nice mature follies this time and I am on lovenox and extra folic acid, b6, and b12 for the MTHFR. I have to believe that this is THE ONE! This is the first time we are doing something different other than just hoping it sticks so I am very optimistic this time but obviously nervous and cautious as well. I know you girls know what it is like so I would love to get to know you all better!!!

Hi April, Welcome and Congrats on your BFP!!!!

I am so sorry to hear of your losses. I had 2 mc's last year and I also have problems with MTHFR, actually 2 mutations of it. After the 2 mc's I requested the testing and that is when they found the MTHFR problem, and put me on 40 mg Lovenox/day, baby aspirin, Metanx (super concentrated vitamin for all the B vit. and Folate), and Duet DHA prenatals. So, pretty darn smiliar to what you are taking except for the baby aspirin.

Anyhow, I really think my mc's were because of this MTHFR problem, and so happy that I figured it out. I hope your outcome is like mine and now you will be able to bring your baby into the world safe and sound. A H&H 9 mos to you!!

Thank you so much for sharing your story! That gives me hope! I was on BA prior to ovulation and then at 3DPO I switched to the Lovenox. I guess since they are both blood thinners is why they had me stop the BA when I started the Lovenox. Now I am wondering if I should still be taking it?!?!

I have heard some doctors keep you on the BA, and some don't. Not sure why they kept me on it, but I don't mind taking it, it is so small and inexpensive. The only thing I heard was that some doctors believe that baby aspirin works on some disorders that they don't know about yet, but I bet that is just a rumor since I heard it from a friend and can't point to anything I have read.
