I read the posts a lot on this board. I sometimes just don't know what to say.

In June I went to the hospital to have scan done of my kidneys and the ultrasound tech and I got talking. I told her that I was pregnant so she did a scan. She asked me how far along I was and I told her almost 8 weeks and she asked me if I was sure. She said I was measuring small for 8 weeks. She said that a vaginal ultrasound would be better to see everything. I called my doctor's office on Monday and went in for an ultrasound. The placenta was the right size for my gestation but I had what is called a blighted ovum. This was devasting as you can imagine. I decided to have a D&C because this happened 12 days before my wedding. I have 2 beautiful children already and I thought I would never want to try again. I wanted to get my tubes tied but my doctor said to wait 6 months and if I still felt the same way he would do it. Wow, I am thankful I waited. I am not 11 weeks 3 days pregnant. I am still scared that something will go wrong. I guess that is why I don't post so much. I feel like is this really considered a miscarriage? Thanks for reading.

Are you asking if your blighted ovum was considered a miscarriage? if I understood your question right it most certainly was!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had the same experience with my first m/c. The d and c also.
Thank you for sharing such a personal part of yourself with us. Know that we can all relate in one way or another despite how our babies died. I am sorry for your loss.
Now that you're 11 weeks pg (congrts btw) feelign anxious is normal. I'm only 6 weeks...I'm scared too. I haven't even brought myself to put up a ticker because...well I'm scared to. (and I want one real bad too)
Post here as much and as little as you want. We're available.

Thank you. I appreciate your kind words. I moved my doctors appointment to Monday instead of Wednesday because I couldn't wait to make sure that there is still a heartbeating. We should be able to hear it then. We saw it on an ultrasound at 8 weeks but I am still worried. Congrats to you and I hope that everything will be okay this time around.
