Today I only have 199 days left! This is going by faster than I thought it would. Now to convince my OB to induce early, around 37 weeks....

Congrats!! How exciting! Hopefully the rest will fly by for ya!!!

Just out of curiousity (I don't mean this AT ALL in a "I wanna debate with you" sort of way ), but why do you want to be induced at 37 weeks?

for a couple of reasons. First I lost my baby at 20 weeks last time, for no apparent reason, so as soon as he/she reaches term (37 weeks according to the DRs) then I want her out! Anything can happen, even in those last 3 weeks. I just want him/her out and safe as soon as it is safe to do so. This is sometimes a common pratice if you have lost a baby in the 2nd half of pregnancy - depends on the dr.

Seondly, I have big babies. I don't get GD or anything, I just have big babies. My first was born early at 36 weeks and was 7lbs, 19 inches and my 2nd was born at 39 weeks and was 9lbs4oz and 21 inches. They only get bigger the more you have, so I really don't want to push out a 10 pounder! It increases my risk for c-section if baby gets stuck. If I went at 37 weeks baby would probably be 7 1/2 or 8lbs.

I have 197 days to go. It is going faster this time it seems. I think in part for me because I am not sick with this pregnancy as I have been with the others. I want to talk to my doctor about an induction at full term as well. My husband travels a lot and is never very close and my labors seem to move fairly quickly. I was induced with my son and he was here in less than 3.5 hours. So I am hoping that he will induce. He did the last time.

Wow what a wonderful milestone. Ya know I am not really keeping up with this baby. I can hardly tell you how far along I am. Maybe that is a coping mechanism I have adapted. People ask me all the time and I can say, having a c-section June 7. Oh well congrats ladies. B

Congrats!!

On a side note, big babies scare the life out of me. I love holding and playing with them, but a lot of them can be sicker than the preemies for so many reasons. Hubby was 10lbs 14oz when he was born and I was 10lbs 9ozs, so...yeesh!

But, *happy thoughts, happy thoughts*

I've never heard of big babies being sicker. The only thing I've heard is they tend to be born with low blood sugar. My son was boarderline and I just gave him some supplemental bottles of forumla while I bf'ed int he hospital and he was fine. I've always heard smaller babies have a harder time. That is a new one on me. I'm not worried though, my big babies have done just fine.
