Everything is measuring fine, including the heartbeat (123). A small subchorionic hemorrhage was found. Also, my ob/gyn is referring me to a high risk doc at another location b/c one of my blood tests came back elevated. I was tested a couple of weeks ago for various possible blood issues. I have also been advised to go back on low dose baby aspirin.
I'll be praying for you too honey!! Try not to be too stressed about it. A lot of sch's resolve themselves. Here's lots of extra sticky for your bean!!![/b]
Thank you Brittanie. The high risk nurse practitioner didn't seem too concerned b/c I am not bleeding and it is very small. Also, hopefully the elevated blood test is no cause for alarm. When the nurse practitioner saw it, he said it was only slightly above the normal line and didn't even know if it is something to be concerned about. Luckily, my regular ob/gyn doesn't wait for things to happen. He called me at home and told me to take the baby aspirin as well as inform me of the referral to the high risk doc.
I wish I had asked what the elevated blood test was. I remember seeing the word lupus on the screen.
Congrats on the Heartbeat, and for the baby measuring great!
It sounds like you have a really good Dr. that cares about what is going on with you, and with a referral to a highrisk Dr., you will be well taken care of. I hoep the SCH resolves itself, and that there is nothing to be concerned of with your blood tests. KUP on how you are doing.
I went to the ER with bleeding at 13w and the found a SCH. I bled for 3 days. It scared the crap out of me. It completely cleared itself up at 19w. I'm so glad your DR is very proactive and on the ball. I hope you get the call clear soon.
I too had a SCH early in this preg and didn't even know it until they told me "looks like it cleared up"...I was mad that I wasn't told, but realize it is probably for the best as it would have given me more to worry about. I believe that if the doc is saying yours is small, then you really shouldn't be too worried at this point (I know, I know, easier said than done). If I had to guess about your bloodwork, I'd say you had elevated #s for some clotting factor....hence the baby asprin. Now that they know about that and are treating it, it shouldn't be a worry either. Its great that you're seeing a high risk doc....that way you know you'll get all of the info and the best treatment.
glad baby is doing well.
hope SCH goes away quickly and doesn't cause any bleeding for you to have to worry about.
i swear by the baby aspirin. i think it helped me finally have a baby. me levels are usually close to normal, but are way off while pregnant. there are many coagulation agents that can be tested for, one of them having the word lupus in it (which does NOT mean a woman has lupus at all), and abnormal levels did not render any diagnosis for me, but having a proactive doctor helps so much. the baby aspirin does not hurt anything to take it (i took it in addition to blood thinners).
I had an SCH with my 2nd pregnancy, I had tremendous cramping all the time, it was diagnosed at 6 weeks, and finally went away at 18 weeks, my dr. put me on restricted activity. I hope yours goes away soon!
