Thanks for remembering B...that is so sweet of you. yes it's my birthday...and it sucks. I am overwhelmed all I want to do is rewind time. Wish I had just left my office a few minutes earlier...then maybe my 30th would have been what i was looking forward to.
Fiancee is taking me to my favorite restaurant and best friend is bringing over dinner and a b-day cake tomorrow night while fiancee is at his game so i'm not alone.
I have support...and love form you all..thank you. it's hard to see the good when I'm so distraught kwim?

Awww What a thing to happen so close to your birthday. Can I ask a hard question? Have you started bleeding or are you going in for a d&c?

I'm so sorry this happened to you. Glad your b/f is there for you and is committed to the long term.

Susan no bleeding yet...the dr wants em to try and pass this baby naturally since I have had 3 previous surgeries on my uterus (risk of scarring etc...) We're giving it a week and will decide then what to do next. B/f and I were going away this weekend for my b-day but cancelled the trip...after the disaster at USC medical center we want to stay as close to our nice hospital as possible should bleeding start and become severe.

Happy birthday, Norina. Not the grand 30th I'm sure you'd envisioned, and I'm so sorry...I know I keep saying that, but, well, I am.

I was wondering about the bleeding, too. It sounds like a good idea to wait and even though I know it sucks to have to cancel the weekend plans, I think you did the right thing. I can't get over how appalling the other hospital is.

I hope that you and Nathanael are able to celebrate the happy occasions--your bday and a marriage (!)--as well as grieve the obvious mournful occasion.

This just sucks. If I were there, I'd help you eat that birthday cake and give you lots of birthday hugs.

Oh, that made me cry. It's wonderful that his family is a part of this and that they're all there for you. Plus, ice cream cake is a nice touch.

My gift to you is NOT singing.
