I'm 7w tomorrow, had my first ultrasound today. There's a heartbeat but too low, the rate was 94. The midwife said that "occasionally" she will see a pregnancy continue after a heartbeat so low, and the plan is to repeat an ultrasound next week. From my research, it looks like about 80% of pregnancies end in miscarriage with a HR <100 at 7w, most of them end by the follow-up ultrasound. I'm devastated. After my miscarriage in September I was really hoping for some good news and a midwife appointment where I didn't cry.
So I just wanted to see if anyone has had this happen to them, and had it turn out okay? I'm trying to stay positive, but at the same time I don't want to get my hopes up...
Thanks for listening.
