Man I was at the hospital for ages! When I first went in baby was laid awkwardly against the placenta apparently and my bladder wasnt 'full enough' even though I was bursting for a wee So said she couldnt see properly she sent me away for half an hour to have a drink and see if me walking around would encourage baby to move. Well I finally got back in to finish the u/s and she said my bladder still wasnt very full but it would have to do. She was actually really rude and I think she was just trying to be awkward. I had drunk that much I was that desperate it was actually hurting

Anyway, baby looks good. Good strong heartbeat and was moving around and wriggling around alot in there And it actually looks like a baby rather than a blob now lol. She found no cause for the bleeding and said it could be from my cervix? Anyway, I am pleased with the u/s but a little upset I didnt get a picture When I ask for one she said ' You are here to check the welfare of your baby and check for bleeding causes, not for baby's first portrait; I wanted to slap her. Oh well nevermind, baby looks good and thats all that matters

thats good news Kate, i think the reason they need your bladder to be super full is so they can check the placenta properly. Sorry about the picture x

OMG! What a raging **insert nasty words** That's awful, she treated you awful! I'm so glad things are OK, Kate, but good word! I'm so sorry you were treated that way! I have loads of other not nice things to say about that, but I think I'd better stop. You know, you may have been there to make sure your baby was all right, but a picture would have helped you to be calmer after all this and reassure yourself that bean was good. Were I you, I think I would go back and ask for her supervisor and complain about her behavior.

On the happier note, sooooo glad you and your little one are OK!

Glad that everything turned out ok. If I were you I would say something to the hospital. I mean you had to pay for the ultrasound. It wasn't like it was free. If You want a pic you should of got one...

I am sooooo glad everything is okay with your little one. I agree I would call up the hospital and complain. She had no right to be so rude to you.

Sorry the tech was so rude to you, not sure if I would have been able to bite my tongue.
But woohoo on a healthy baby!

I'm so glad to hear that everything with your lo is good!! YAY!!

Sorry about the bad u/s experience. u/s are scary enough without having to add rudeness to the mix. A little sensitivity can go a long way, and getting an u/s photo is more than babies first pic - it's also a way for the mom to bond with the baby. At 13 weeks you aren't feeling baby move yet, so to have a pic to look at can be very comforting - and really how hard is it to push the print button - REALLY!!!
