The baby did not want to cooperate at first and the umbilical cord was between the legs. Eventually we were able to see those 3 magic lines.
So..It's a GIRL
Just about everything else measured perfectly. The only thing is that they found 2 Choroid Plexus Cysts in her brain. So I had to do the quad blood test this morning and will have the results hopefully on Friday.
We also have to have another ultrasound at 32 weeks to make sure the cysts are gone.
I am a bit nervous so hopefully the results are negative on Friday. Doesn't help that 1 in 20 women get false positives.

David was totally bummed at first, he really wanted a brother. I'm sure he will come around. Not that he has much of a choice.
Meghan was a little disappointed as well (I think because David was) she is coming around. Especially when I told her that she Grandma and I could go shopping tonight and she could pick out her favorite girl outfit to buy the baby.

We only have a middle name so far Clare it is DHs mom's middle name. Still working on a first name.

YAY for a Girl!!!!! Congratulations!!

Our lo had cysts on the brain too, and we had another u/s month after they were found and they were gone by then. I've been told by 2 different dr. that it is becomming more and more common to see those cysts, and most of the time they mean nothing, but because they are a marker for Trisomy 18, they like for moms to do the QUAD test and follow-up u/s. Did they find anyother markers?

I hope all comes back well with your QUAD test. KUP when you hear something.

The cysts were the only markers, I think that is why I am just worried and not totally freaking out at this point. Every other body part looked good and measured right on target.

We had a variant on our first ultrasound too that went away by our next one (not cysts)...it is hard to have that little worry in the back of your mind- but I am sure that everything will be fine!

Congrats on the little princess. I'm surprised they are making you wait that long for a recheck. The cysts are usually gone by 24 weeks. I've had them on 2 of my pg and both times they were gone by 22 weeks.

Good luck with the blood work.

Congratulations on your sweet girl!!! I will be thinking of you and your results. Hopefully everything is fine, though. I can't believe a little girl isn't excited right away about a little sister, lol!

Congrats on Team Pink Katie!!!

Sorry about the cysts, but it does sound like they are pretty common. KUP when they check again!

Hope you're doing well. I haven't seen you too much lately and I've been wondering how you are!
