I am currenlty 13 wks 4 days pregnant. At 11 weeks I started bleeding, no cramps, and only when I wiped. I went to Dr. and baby was perfect. Was told to limit activity for a week. Bleeding stopped before next appointment which was 5 days from the start of the bleeding.
Everything was perfect at my 12 wk appointment
Bleeding again at 13 weeks. Returned to Dr. Found out my placenta is at the bottom of my cervix instead of top. It is partially laying on my cervix. He said when I am very active the placenta irritates my cervix and that is what is causing the bleeding.
When the bleeding started Thursday it was after cleaning the house. I mean come on cleaning the house. It stopped by Friday. Then Saturday it started again after sitting in the floor playing legos with my son. And it continued through last night. Has stopped now.
The baby is fine, growing and kicking, jumping on the ultrasound. The h/b is 180.
My husband and I are trying to make a decision here. I want to continue working but am nervous about it, he says I need to quit. I am a merchandiser. Somedays I work 15 minutes, sometimes 4 hrs. I merchandise greeting cards, dvds, cell phones and much more in Dollar General and Family Dollar. I also do price changes, displays and much more. There is a lot of standing, actually I stand the entire time I am in the store. There is alot of movement. So I am worried the bleeding is going to occur everyday I work.
Dr. says baby is not in danger right now. But I am worried about what is happening to my cervix. It can't be doing any good. I don't want to damage it too much.
I really wish this placenta would find it's home.
Please give me your opinions on my work situation. My DM loves me and has told me I can have all the time off I need.
Thanks for the advice....

i had bleeding previas with 3 of my kids. The more you can rest, the better. You may find that it only takes a few weeks to move away from your cervix (that is what happened to me each time)

Thanks so much, I am hoping it will move soon. It was scary at first but I am used to seeing blood when I go potty now. It is just so annoying that everything I do causes me to bleed.

I'm sorry this is happening, but so glad baby is fine. I'd say if you can afford to take time off, I'd do it. Hopefully the placenta will move soon for you! Please kup. G/L hun

I would ask your employer what accommodations they can make for your job to minimize the chances of bleeding. Or, if you are able to discontinue work for a period of time, maybe that's your solution. What does your doctor say about working? Under ADA I believe your employer needs to try to make accommodations for you. I guess I'd see what they say (doctor and employer) before you make your final decision. just my opinion. I really hope everything moves to where it's supposed to be and things continue to progress well. I love the h/b of 180! That is awesome!!!! KUP

Well Ladies I am officially not working until my placenta moves. I have mixed emotions about it. But it is all for this precious baby so it will be all worth it. Just looking for ways to make money with this computer now....

I hope it moves for you hun. Mine never did and I bled alot. I mean alot alot. And I didn't even do anything to cause it - each stinkin' time I was laying down! But I knew Kaiden was fine each time, he was always kicking but I still ended up in L&D with each bleeding episode.

I don't bleed alot. Once I lay down and put my feet up it usually starts to ease off and will completely stop over the next day or so. I just have to take it really easy. I have learned by now some of the things that start it up so I avoid those things. The last two times I did not even go to the Dr. I just laid down it stopped.
