As the topic says, I got to spend my afternoon in L & D. I started having contractions around 10am this morning. They ended up being pretty constant but not long in duration. I sat on my butt for a bit and they kept coming so I called the OB. The nurse said to head to Labor Hall to be monitored. Sure enough, I was in PTL. All their tests came back negative (thankfully). After 4 attempts to get my IV in for fluids and a shot of terbutalin, they called in the IV team and got me hooked up. They have no idea why I was having contractions and my cervix is still high and tight, so I've been sent home to veg out on the couch tonite and tomorrow. I'm only allowed to go back to work on Wed because I have an OB appt Thurs with the midwife who was on duty today.

Through it all Delaini could care less what was going on other than the belts being restricting for her movements. They told me I have a very happy active baby.

That pretty much sums up my afternoon.

Take it as easy as possible for the next couple of days...hopefully rest and fluids is just what you need to have Delaini bake a little longer
