Ladies - need some advice/opinions here!

I'm 27/28 weeks (measuring a week ahead), but I haven't felt very frequent kicks since Tuesday really. I will get a few kicks in the middle of the night. There were no kicks (that I felt anyway) this afternoon while at work. Carleigh will usually give me a nice kick or two around lunch time.

This afternoon, I had a lot of cramps. It felt like my period was going to show. No bleeding or anything. I figured the cramps were baxton hicks contractions again. the cramps finally went away when I ate a Snickers and chugged a bunch of water. How much water do I need to drink? I drink so much. I feel like I am over drinking my H2O sometimes.

It just makes me a little nervous since I don't feel the baby kick as much lately. My next appointment is on Wednesday afternoon. I will talk to my doctor about it then, or at least call on Monday and ask about it before I go in if I don't feel many kicks over Easter weekend. I know I'm getting my kick count sheet at my appointment on Wednesday.

This little girl just needs to kick me all day/night long so I know everything is okay. I don't care if she disrupts my sleep! I've made it this far. I don't want any bad news.

If I remember correctly you need to count 10 kicks within an hour. So lay down relax and count them, if you don't get that many call the oncall Dr to get checked out to be on the safe side.
Hope she starts moving a lot.

Jessica, don't hesitate to call your dr if you are not getting 10 kick in every 2 hours. (at least that is what my Dr. told me yesterday). Try to relax, lay on your left side and enjoy connecting with Carleigh. If you feel more that 5 or 6 kicks in an hour you should be OK.

According to this Frequently Asked Questions about Baby Kick Counting and Kick Counts - BabyKick.com it's 10 kicks in less than 2 hours.

PLEASE update us honey! I'm worried about you now!

I'm going to count kicks all day while I'm at work and post the numbers for you ladies. I felt kicks last night, but only when I was awake.

Maybe your little lady was just having a little lazy time. It freaks me out when that happens!!
On the water topic, I usually drink about 96 oz. or more a day. At this point, I don't feel like I can really overdo the amount of water that I take in. I want it all of the time...not really thirsty, just wanting it! I do have to make sure that I use the restroom alot or as soon as I feel the urge to go or I end up getting some cramping.

A lot of the times it helps to lay on your left side and count the kicks, i went through this scare a few times with Athena

I was told by my doctor 10 kicks in an hour, she also told me to seat and relax when I'm counting kicks. With Alex he was more active while I was at work and moving around, so I used to do kick counts at work and them when I got home. You can also try to drink very cold water, I used to eat chocolate when I did not feel him move, that did the trick for him.
I was just realizing that...I miss those days........

Thanks for the replies.

I counted kicks at work. The most active period was between 1-2pm. I felt 14 kicks within that one hour. The rest of the hours, it was four kicks here and there. I got kicked while eating Fazoli's tonight.

I'm feeling a lot better now. I just need to know she's still moving around in there.

I'm glad your little one is moving around in there. I can't wait to feel this little one move. I hope Carleigh continues to boogie so that you don't have to worry!

My doctor said that as long as i felt Alex move it did not mater when you did the kick counts, just to do it when he is the most active.
