Well it went fine. DR found baby's h/b in a second with the doppler and it was chugging away.
Funny story though, he walks in and looks at my chart and says your 1st trimester screening came back fine. And I was like what? That isn't what the Genetic couselor said! So we went over it and my risk from the test was 1 in 200 and for my age is 1 in 186, so I actually am doing a little better.
I asked what the markers where that caused the test to be lower than last time and apparently the neck mesaurement thingy was 2.1 mm where 2.0 is the cut off for "normal" but he said they don't really get worried unless it is over 3.0 mm. My HCG also came back slightly elevated, but only by a tiny bit. He said those two things together are what sent the red flag off for them. He doesn't think we have anything to worry about but I'm still getting the amnio done in 2 weeks.
So all in all a good appt. He said everything is fine but he can understand why I am so cautious.
Amnio/big ultrasound in 2 weeks, next appt in 4 weeks. In 4 weeks I'll be approaching the time when Cassie died so I'll probably be a huge wreck before that appt.
