Went back on Friday for my follow-up u/s to confirm the position. The head went down though facing sideways. The little bugger is estimating at 9lbs right now. He/she is gaining 1+ pd a week so we're estimating he/she'll be 11-12 for the induction date at week 38w.

I'm thrilled that he/she went down and really don't mind the weigh as long as he/she is healthy. Though I packed up 0-3 and brought down 3-6 instead.

I'm glad the bug is head down! Wow! 9 pounds I wouldn't know what to do with myself! You know what but some of the 11 pound babies still wear 0-3 months clothes so don't put them too far away!

Wow...I can't beleive your lo will be here in 2 weeks!! That's really exciting! With that big of a baby, are you giving birth vaginally, or C-Section?? Good Luck either way, and KUP on how you are doing!!

I plan on going all natural. The head is only measuring 13cm which is about the same as my others. The baby's weight is mainly in it's belly, thighs and cheeks from what I could see on the u/s (and given previous big babies). I'll do anything to avoid the csection which is why I'm pushing for a 38w induction if he/she hasn't come by then.

I'm glad to hear baby is doing so great! I hope you get your natural birth!!

And I despise u/s weight estimates...with my first they warned me that he may not even break 6 lbs because of a grade 3 placenta...yeah...he was 8lbs1oz...then with my second they said he was measuring at right at about 8lbs and he came out 6lbs11oz..but they did warn me that it could be off by a pound either way...

Given your history of big babies though...I'm pretty sure this one will be a cute little chunker
