Okay I was a nervous wreck and it seemed like this afternoon would never get here fast enough. I have very little morning sickness compared to what I had w/my boys and that has been concerning to me. But the news is great!!!

The baby is measuring right on- everything looks good! The sonographer was a little concerned b/c the heart rate was measuring 181-194 bpm. He took the high reading of 194 and the nurse PA advised me that it could indicate "cardiac malfunction" (!!!) My doctor came in and said she feels it is fine, and only a normal acceleration. Supposedly this is the time of a fetus' highest heart rate- after 9.2 wks or so it begins to slow. So I'm going w/that.

I do have to return next Thursday for a follow-up to listen to the heart rate again. Honestly, I'm okay with that- it will let me once again hear that sound!

Anyone know anything personally about high heart rates?

Thank you Vicki for an beautiful siggy!

YAY for a good appt

I don't know anything about the fast hb, but I guess if your doctor is too concerned, I would try not to be too, especially this early. In fact, when we first saw my lo's hb around that same time, they never even measured the rate...I was just glad to see it fluttering away
