Hey, I just posted about my low levels. I'm feeling scared that we could lose this baby. I can't talk w/ dh because he's nervous as it is. He said if we lose this baby we're done and not going to have any more!! I *know* in my heart we are not done having babies. I'm angry at the nurse for talking the way she did. Her tone of voice was not very reassuring!!!

I know that fear that you are talking about. DH told me the same thing after our miscarriage. He later (after I became pregnant this time) told me that was just his own fear talking and that he was just so afraid of another loss.

I pray that your numbers increase like they should!! Doubling is much more important. My numbers were not as high as they should have been for my LMP but they doubled. The doctor ended up changing my EDD to a week later after a couple of u/s to confirm things were okay. It was such a scary time.

Also my doctor's nurse is very blunt- almost in a cold way. Very technical. I've cried after many a phone call regarding hcg numbers and progesterone levels. I often have wondered about what her own personal experience is with pregnancy and/or loss. Maybe that has something to do with why she is that way (??).

Take care!!

I'm not sure what the nurse was thinking, but your #'s more than doubled so they seem good to me. Also, numbers are NOT an exact science. Mine only went from 3900 to 5900 at one point this pregnancy and they told me it didn't look good. But I'm still here. I know its easier said than done, but try to stay positive!!

Sorry your DH is saying those things...I don't think he really means them though...men grieve so differently than women...

Hopefully your new betas will reassure you that this pregnancy will be a success...
