I had my appt today, and I am (STILL) 2cm and 40% effaced. She did say that my cervix is really soft, which is a good sign, but I have been having tons of contractions for the last 1 1/2 weeks, and it's obviously not doing anything besides making me uncomfortable...sigh She did strip my membranes, but so far nothing different as far as contractions go than before I went in.
I did tell dh that the way I feel right now, I might make it into the Guiness book...as the lady that was pregnant FOREVER
Ohh Melanie, I'm sorry....the little guy it's just being stubborn, he wants to make his appearance as big as possible, he will come when you least expected. He will be here soon, hang on just a bit longer.
i bet it will happen in the next couple of days!! And yeh supposidily orgasms are supposed to help bring on contractions!! Im gonna be attacking brett daily when i hit 39 weeks LOL cause i dont wanna go to 42 again

Melanie, I keep checking this board waiting to see a post that Owen is here!! I'm so sorry he is taking his time but it can't be too much longer before you're holding your precious little man in your arms. I am thinking of you!!
Monday. I have to start going 2x/week next week as well as have NST's each time I go in...yet another reason I didn't want to go over.
A couple people said to me today, maybe they have your EDD wrong?!? I just simply said "no"--I didn't want to go into, "well, we were trying for 8 months, I was temping/charting/etc/etc, so I definitely know what my EDD is!" lol
I know its hard to wait, but one positive is that your baby will probably be really ready. Cori was born at 40 weeks 6 days and was so alert, well developed, and ready to EAT. I hope that is the case for little Owen too!
