I can't help but be nervous about my appt on the 27th, they are going to look for the heartbeat with the doppler and i can't help but think something is going to be wrong. I know its normal to feel this way after going through a loss but i hate feeling this way. I wish i had an ultrasound machine at my house lol so i could check on the baby whenever i wanted too. I just need lots of prayers that everything is still going great. So can everyone just say a prayer for my little bean!

You got it! I remember hating that feeling so much....I was pretty much hyperventilating in the waiting room at several of my appointments.

I remember that first appointment after seeing the h/b on the u/s, that appointment where you get to actually hear the h/b, I was almost in tears going, it was 6 weeks in between appointments, it drove me crazy. I'll be thinking about you.

I totally remember that feeling. It is absolutely nervewrecking. Even after hearing the heartbeat the first time, until I could feel movement, I would get nervous before every appointment. I remember one appointment where they took my blood pressure BEFORE doing the dopplar to get the heartbeat. The nurse was in shock as to how high it was. She kept asking if I was ok. I told her I would be after I hear the heartbeat. They retook it later and it was perfectly normal. I'll be thinking about ya. Keep us posted.

Wishing you the best! I feel reassured now, but I know before my next appointment I'll start to worry soon too. I can't wait for movement!

I still panic and I feel her moving. Just make sure you ask them to go slow, I had two nurses that couldn't find Norah at our last visit even when I was telling them where she was. They spent 10-15 seconds looking for it.

Until I started feeling my LO move everyday I was a mess too before each appt. For some reason my appts always ended up late in the day and it felt like the longest day of my life each time! I was so nervous and each time I convinced myself that there would be no HB and it was over. And then when everything was ok the reassurance never lasted the whole 4 weeks between appts so I always made "extra" ones because I would freak out and have to make sure everything was ok. Good luck and I know everything will be just fine!

I've already see it, but this is the appt where you actually get to hear it and they just use the doppler on your tummy.

I know what you mean hun and that worry never goes away. I was so happy the first time I heard my baby's heartbeat by doppler I recorded it with my cell phone.

Have you thought about renting a doppler hun? This stage is so difficult to get through but the worry never goes away. I didn't get one myself because I had so much morning sickness but I bet it would take a load off your mind knowing you could check your baby when you wanted.

Hugs hun

I am sorry you are so stressed. The waiting is hard. First you wait to get your BFP, then you wait to have an u/s, then you wait to hear the hb, then you wait to get out of your 1st trimester..... Just when you get past one milestone, you start waiting for the next one. You are in my thoughts. Good luck!

I know what you mean I was so afraid they would not hear it on me, that somehow something had happened since the last time it was heard, I think once you've had a loss it's normal to fear having another! I will pray for you and your bean though, and I am sure all will be well and you will hear that beautiful sound.

At the beginning I was having a ultrasound every 3- weeks. Of course I saw it at 7 weeks , but I was still nervous everytime I went in....

This pregnancy they could not hear the heartbeat with the doppler until after 14 weeks,,, I am just saying this because I saw that you are going to just be a 12 weeks... When this happended they had to use the ultrasound machine and there she was moving around like crazy. I am not saying this to scare or make you nervous.

Thinking of you- I heard the h/b at 10 weeks w/the doppler. I bet since you did w/your girls that early you'll be fine.

I'm still kicking the doppler rental idea around for just a month- my next appt. will be June 17th. My doctor said I probably won't feel any movement until very close to that appt. or shortly afterwards. It seems like such a long time to not know anything. Especially since this is the time when symptoms should start to diminish.

However, I've also considered that the baby should be doing some remarkable growth during this time. Maybe I should just measure my belly and keep track of how it is growing?? A growing belly would be pretty reassuring too.

I bought a doppler because I was so scared. It's an idea. Renting one is good too. But it's normal. I don't know anyone one (with or without losses) who doesn't get a little panicked. Of course we have more reasons to worry.
