The old wives tale says that a higher heart rate means "girl" and a lower heart rate means "boy". What is/was your baby's heart rate and what are you having/what did you have?

I'm no help with this one, our Dr. never told us what his heart rate actually was.

With the boys theirs were around 140 with this girl above 150. I wouldn't trust it too much.

Tanith was around 160. Two of my brothers should have been girls if that were true.

Not so true for me. Cori was usually around 150, but this one (who we've been assured is a girl) is in the upper 130's to 140's.

Pretty much everytime I had "boy" heartrates....I have 3 girls Plus Ive heard this wivestale go both ways so its one I just dont believe.

The one that HAS come true for me though is that you dream of the opposite sex while pregnant. I have always had lots of dreams about boys while pregnant and have little girls. I do surprise babies so I never know til the end so this lasts my entire pregnancy

My kids were the opposite. Amanda were always in the 130-140 range. Matthew was always in the 150-160 range. I don't remember what Jeremy's were.... that was a long time ago... 18 years! Yikes

If you would like to see pictures of my sweet (but tiny) boy they can be viewed at www.caringbridge.org/visit/noahdarrohn they aren't the easiest pictures to look at but I am willing to share them with anyone who would like to see them <3
On August 2, 2012 we lost Sarah at 17 weeks. She was our 8th loss Her pictures can be viewed at http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/sarahdarrohn

Cecil was in the 150-160 range - My mom was convinced he was a girl because of that - but I guess he proved her wrong!!

My boys were all 135-140. This one is 150 so we'll see. Kind of fun to guess. Being on team yellow will give me plenty of time to think about each "gender predictor". I may as well have fun with it. It keeps my mind away from the worrying for a bit.

Connor's was always in the 150s and Eva's was in the 160s. I don't know how much faith I put in that, though.

I wouldn't trust that old wives tale toooo much. We are having a girl and the highest her heart rate has been was 152 and that was only at one appt. Her's has been averaging in the lower 140's. Usually around 142. I guess every baby is just different and while It would be nice if that was a deifnately sign as to whether it's a boy or girl, I don't think you can put much faith in it.
