have you given it any thought, or will you just see what works out best for you and baby?

I am about 95% sure I will be formula feeding.
Now I just need to research which formula to use. With Meghan I really liked the Enfamil Lipil but I was kinda hoping I could get away with a cheaper generic brand.

I plan on BF but like with the boys I will be prepared to FF. I can't take the chance if I have to go on heart meds. that they wouldn't hurt Norah.

Most likely going to formula feeding .... I bf my daughter for the first 3 weeks, but had to stop... It was very uncomfortable and didnt make her very happy ... but we will see maybe this bean will take to it and I will.

I am going to try bf again. I bf my son for 6 weeks, but his appetite and my supply just never matched up. I am going to try harder this time. I am older and wiser now, so I won't be concerned if the house is a mess or dinner isn't cooked (by me, anyway), so I am hoping it works out better.

I am going to try to BF again and this time I have way more info and will be seeing a lac con. right away! But if I can't I promised myself that this time I will not feel guilty about it. Benjamin turned out fine with his formula!

I wanted to give my 2 cents here. I am breastfeeding, I wanted to bf and I'm very much against formula-no reason in particular-I don't want to go that route other than I have to for medical reasons. But I do have to say that bf is hard and sometimes I do think that I would be much happier if I was giving him formula once in a while but again, I love to have that time with him

I have strictly formula fed my babies and have no regrets. They both are doing wonderful. I think you should just do whatever works for you and your baby, not what everyone else thinks you should do.

Katie, Walmart has a generic milk-based formula that is good. Tyler is on lactose free. I was doing Similac Sensitive (24.88) for 1 week. I switched to the Walmart lactose free (14.88) for 1 week and have had no problems.

I plan on BFing again. I BF my daughter until she self weaned at a little over a year. I didn't give her any formula (I work full time) until she was almost a year old last time but this time I think I will be a little more relaxed about it. Trying to pump enough was very stressful for me.

just a little word about store brands......they are fine !!!!
the ONLY difference I see is, most store brands are more like Enfamil, which contains Palm Olein,
Similac products don't...*that is what we use*

just compare the labels, you'll see the nutritional values are just about identical......and if you wanna save money, that is the way to go....just remember, most store brands do not offer RTF, just powder....

Something else about formula, for those of you that still have time until your LO is born, sign up for samples, that way you will have a selected variety that you can try without having to go to the store and buy them.

I will be formula feeding. I tried breastfeeding with Lily, and I found it a terribly stressful experience. I didnt like it at all. I know that probably makes me sound horrible, but I would much rather FF and enjoy it that BF and dread every feed

I don't think that's horrible, everybody has a different experience with it. I was about to give up on the second day, and most day I want to give up because it is stressful and them pumping is also very stressful. As long as the baby grows up healthy and happy I don't see why people make a big deal about bf or ff.

Formula feeding...too many food allergies. My little pumpkin would be missing food groups if I nursed! Vitamin supplements may be OK for me, but, they aren't the best for nursing. I nursed Joey and he was dropping weight, poor little guy. So after being admitted and my going through three infections, I decided I was a better bottle feeder
