So I'm babysitting my friend's two kids while she's at an OB appointment. She just called to tell me she'll be late, because they're sending her for an ultrasound because her growth has been so much that they suspect twins! She's been a lot sicker with this pregnancy than either of her other two, as well.

So now I'm going to be sitting on pins and needles until she can call again! >_<

Sounds exciting. I've wanted twins forever! Every time I have an u/s I ask the tech -- "only one in there?"

Keep us posted!

Um, well, let's see.....12/13 weeks? Yeah, it's her first ultrasound. Apparently her Dr. doesn't do early ones unless they suspect something out of the ordinary.

No word yet...

Okay, she just picked up her kids. First of all, I was wrong about my estimate of how far along she was.

They thought she was 15 weeks.

It's not twins. Instead, she's 18 weeks. And it's a girl.

So while she got herself all excited for twins and was therefore slightly disappointed, she's SO excited to be 3 weeks further along, and having a girl! lol.

Wow... off by three weeks. That's amazing. And a little girl. How exciting! I'm sure that she's a little disappointed that it's not twins. (I would have loved to have twins ) But, I'm sure she's thrilled just the same. And, I'd love a doctor to tell me I was three weeks further than I am. Although amazing, that would be pretty cool. My ticker would FLY ahead! You'll have to keep us updated as to how she's doing.

The things is...her dates can't have been off by that much. Being 18 weeks would put her conceiving just before she had her IUD out. She got her IUD, had her period a week later, and then got pregnant. So...apparently Little Girl is just big....

I'm way excited for her though. I'd love to have my EDD moved forward too. Considering that I've had it moved BACK (just a few days, but still) every time.
