Nothing serious and no cramping, but this was how it started last time. Spotting once one day, nothing the next day, heavier spotting the third, and full on bleeding after that. I hope it's nothing, but I have a hard time believing it right now. I will be 12 wks tomorrow too, and have an appt on Fri.

Can you get in to see your doctor sooner, I have had several spotting episodes this time and luckily they have been from irritation to my cervix, I will pray that the spotting is not a sign of something worse (((((hugs)))))

you are not alone How it happened for you last time is exactly what is happening to me right now I am on day 3 and today it is like a regular period, pads, cramps and all..... I pray that your's (and mine) does not end up that way. I am totally freaking out today and there's a God dam public holiday so there are no doctors open and noone on duty at the hospitals to do scans! They 'could' call them in but hours later! ohhhh I'm sorry to rave on about me I was about to post a thread about bleeding to have others reassure me that they had the same thing happen and it was fine... BUT I know there are heaps of woman who have had the same thing, light bleeding turn into heavy and it be fine and other it wasn't fine for..... Either way there is still hope that everything is fine for both of us gee not sure I have helped

Oh Karissa...I'll be praying for you! I had spotting on and off with both Cora and Erin for the first half of the pregnancy. But I know that all the good stories right now don't help get rid of the fear.

I really hope it's nothing!

Karissa, I wish I had the right thing to say. We all know that bleeding can be an indication of something and an indication of NOTHING. Unfortunately, that doesn't help the way you're feeling. I'd give your doctor a call. That way they can get you some answers. Please know that I'm thinking of you and praying for you and your little one. And, I'm just a PM away!

Thanks for your kind words everyone. My head keeps telling me that spotting can be normal and mean nothing, but it's hard to make my heart believe it. I had one incidence of spotting with Tanith, but it was after swimming in a very chlorined pool, so I know it was that irritating my cervix. This time I have nothing to blame it on , unless raking some dirt yesterday did it. I haven't really had any since that one time this morning, and it wasn't nearly as much or the same consistency (sorry TMI) as with my loss, but even so. Thanks for listening to me whine! And Cherished I hope that you get some good news tomorrow! It sucks you have to wait. I'll give my midwife a call, and, at the very least, maybe I can stop by and see if we can find anything on the doppler.

I wanted to check and see how you were doing. Did you call the doctor and see if they can get in earlier? We are thinking about you.

I hope you can pop into your midwife- that reassurance would be great! i'm sending my t&p to you, and it sounds very benign, so I'm thinking positively.

It was slightly more and bright red this morning, but still no cramping. However, I never really had cramping until I was full-out bleeding last time either, so that doesn't do much to ease my mind. My midwife offered an u/s, but I'd have to go to someone else's office since she doesn't do them. Since I am 12 wks today I am going to go in probably later today and see if we can find anything on the doppler. Otherwise I think we are just in wait and see mode. Why can't this be easy?
