Hey everyone, sorry I haven't been around, I've had family and visitors coming out my ears! Today is my first day of just having DH and my daughters at home together. Luckily, my DH gets 3 weeks off to hang out with us and help me out. Juliana is doing wonderfully and gaining weight. She looks more and more like Cori everyday. Cori has done okay with the transition, but she has had grandma's constant attention so we'll see how it goes now that she isn't here.
I had my follow-up appointment for my kidney stones. There is still one very large stone in there and a few smaller pieces. I have to decide when/if I want to do the ultrasonic treatment where they blast it apart. We're leaning toward doing it, just because I don't want the stupid thing to move while I'm on vacation or something. But, I need to have all my ducks in a row beforehand just in case it lands me in the hospital again for pain control (most of the time it doesn't, but we all know how I love to beat the odds). I also received my lab results for the bile/Chloestatis thing and they were rather high, suggesting that I did, in fact, have the rare jaundice thing. This is bittersweet news because at least I know I'm not crazy or a hypochondriac.....but the reoccurance rate in subsequent pregnancies is VERY high. It also tends to set in earlier and be worse with subsequent pregnancies. So, that makes our decision about future children a bit more complicated.
Hope all of you are doing well....Sacha, I'm still checking in on you every day. Here is another pic of baby Ana.
Kelly, Ana is beautiful. I'm glad she's doing so well. I hope Cori does fine now that grandma's gone home. I'm sorry the stones are still there. I hope the treatment gets them all gone without any further pain. I'm sorry about the jaundice thing and about it happening in other pgs. Take care and update when you can.
She's Precious, sorry about the test results, I don't know anything about it, but i hope that it does not prevent you guys from having another one. I hope that Cori does good now that grandma is gone, it's probably not an easy transition for her. I's great that you dh have 3 weeks off!
So good to hear your update. Ana is absolutely precious! Good luck in your decisions about picking the right timing for the kidney stone issues. Whatever you decide, I know that you are one strong momma! I hope Cori picks up her big sister role and is a great help to you and DH. 3 weeks for DH at home -- that's great! I'm sure he is being a great help too.
Thanks for checking on me -- I have an appt this afternoon, but I'm not expecting anything to happen except for us to confirm the induction date/time (if she hasn't come by the defined date).
Great to hear that your absolutely beautiful baby is doing well! Juliana is gorgeous! It's good to hear that Cori is doing well too. I'm sure it will take a little adjustment now that grandma is gone, but, she'll do great. I love the picture of the two of them. Way to cute.
I'm glad you got some answers about your kidney stones. I'm sure it's tough to plan "further" action when you have so much on your plate. But, if in the end, it will make you more comfortable, it's probably a good idea. So the condition can come back with subsequent pregnancies? Wow. But, at least you know what you were dealing with... Is there any type of treatment that they can use to treat/prevent the condition?
Thanks for updating. And, I'm so glad you included another picture! Keep us updated as to how things continue to go
