Wow...we must have been thinking of eachother. I just posted to you
The weekend was a good getaway. The boys were able to leave the House of Doom and Gloom and head to the beach, play games, walk into town, etc... It was definitely the right thing to do for them.
But, I felt awful leaving DH home with Jennifer. She's so weak and tired. She's giving up on food and drinking very little. She calmly lays on the couch next to us and sleeps most of the day. The vet said this could go on for a week...and he assures us she is not in any pain. I must have said good bye to her 10 times already. I didn't think she'd make it through the night last night, but, she's still here. Sweet little thing.
Thanks for thinking of me. I really appreciate it. We know we're doing the right thing by letting her stay comfortable at home. And, I know some people probably think we're crazy. But, she's our little furbaby. And, we're gonna miss her. The dog (Libby) and the other cat (Samantha) know that something's up. And, they're being so good. I think we all wish we could do something.
I was about to almost post, I did not see a post from you, I was wondering how the weekend went and how Jennifer is doing. I'm glad she's still around, it give you even more opportunities to say goodbye. How are the boys doing (in regards to Jennifer)?
The boys are OK. I think they just don't know what to expect. They keep saying good bye, but I know they're glad that she's still hanging on when they get home. Today the two older boys are at a camp. They have music lessons tonight. Keeping them busy is good. Robbie is so good natured that he just takes every day in stride. Amazing for an 8 yr old.
Thanks for thinking of us...all your thoughts and prayers are so very much appreciated.
