Jon my baby boy is having surgery to correct cross eyes this morning. Mom is terrified. I trust his Dr. 100% but the thought of him being put to sleep scares me.

I'll be thinking about you. My sister had that surgery when she was very young too, I don't think I was born, so it had to be when she was a baby. Everything will be ok, let us know how everything goes. We'll be thinking about you.

It went great Jon is resting on the couch. I have to keep him close so I can make sure he doesn't rub those eyes. Surgery lasted 2 hours, one eye was harder to correct. I love the Dr. we have her cell and home #, she told us if anything looked weird call her as "I have no life". That was a very long two hours, I had DH hold him before they came to get him, I knew I would breakdown.

I'm glad everything turned out well! I know that had to be hard. Gosh, how do you keep a toddler from rubbing his eyes?

Right now with sun glasses and if that doesn't work then I have pull out the paper towel rolls to wrap his arm in at the elbow where he can't reach his eyes.

I am so glad things went well! I know I would be a basket case if I were in your situation. I'm glad he's resting well and on his way to a great recovery! The nice thing is at this age they heal so fast and they really don't remember it ever even happening! you'll have to keep us posted as to how he does with the sunglasses. How long does it take to heal? know that Im' thinking of you and your little cutie!
