So I haven't talked much about it, but tomorrow I'm having a procedure similar to an amnio or CVS. Baby B isn't reabsorbing like he should, so they are removing some amniotic fluid to compensate so we have less of a chance for miscarriage. The procedure itself carries a small risk of miscarriage, but the risk of doing nothing is significantly higher. I am kind of *freaking out* because they are going to jab a giant needle in my belly (!), but I am reassured by my sister (who is a genetic counselor and goes to amnios and this procedure a lot) that it is a really really routine procedure that doesn't hurt. (My mom confirmed this, she had the same thing when one of her triplets passed.)

We are having a nuchal tranlucency scan first, and while it will be hard to see Baby B still there, I am hoping that Baby A and Baby C will be awake and wiggling for us!

So prayers please that this will be routine and non-painful. Also prayers are needed because the antibiotics I have to take to prevent infection make my morning sickness really bad!

My a forementioned sister will be with me and DH to hold my hand and lend her large brain to reassure me. I will KUP!!

I'll be thinking of you!!
I understand the bittersweet of seeing the healthy babies, while still seeing the other still there. As the other two get bigger it will get easier!

I had a CVS at 11 weeks. The only pain is the needle going into the uterus (because it's a muscle), and it feels like 1 bad cramp for about 6 seconds, then it's ok. I didn't even feel the needle going through my skin. If they move the needle around, it might feel weird, but not painful. Good luck!!

The NT scan we did before the procedure didn't go well. I posted a new thread with the updates.
