Hello Everyone,
I am officially joining this board. I got my BFP a week ago and decided it's time to come over here for about, uh, 9 months, perhaps (hopefully)? A little about me...

I got my first BFP in November, only to discover there was no heartbeat in December (at 8 weeks). I had to have a D&C. Five weeks later (and still bleeding), it was realized that everything was not removed, so I had to go in for a second D&C-- ughh, I was NOT happy!!! Seven and a half weeks later (felt like eternity), AF came for a visit. DH and I were ready to start trying again. I decided to do EXACTLY as I did the month I conceived, and BAM, I got my BFP on the first try!!! I am very excited, but definitely cautiously optimistic. I promised myself I would try not to worry this time (as it did nothing for me the first time apparently)... well, I have succeeded to an extent... I still find my mind wandering into the thoughts of "what if this one doesn't make it..." I know it's very normal for all of us to have these thoughts (especially since we have been through a horrible loss), but I really wanted to make a point to not think like that... I have come to realize that being positive all the time is going to be very difficult. I just reallllly want to get through my first u/s (scheduled for May 5th)... before even thinking about celebrating this pregnancy. In fact, I think I'm mainly trying to push it out of my mind for the time being and remain busy so I don't get too "attached" like I did with the first one.

Anyways, that's my babble for now. I figured I will need your support to remain sane... ESPECIALLY during this first trimester. I would appreciate any positive stories... as I can use any words of encouragement at this time.

I'm looking forward to getting to know you better!!!

Hi stacy, I remember you from the loss boards. So very happy to hear about your BFP, congrats! I saw it the other day actually in the ttc after loss and was hoping you'd come over. You are now officially a member of the worry warts! Congrats and welcome!

I was just like you with this pregnancy - I did not want to get attatched. I was so scared. I feel somewhat better now, past 12 weeks and just had a great appointment. I'll keep you in my prayer's hun.
to you and congrats.
