Hello everyone. I'm Annette and I m/c on February 2nd. I went to the doctor on January 28th at what should have been 6w5d and on the ultrasound there was only an empty gestational sac that was measuring 5w1d. We have been trying to have a baby for a year and a half so I was and still am devastated about the loss. The doctor told us to wait for one cycle and then start trying again and come see her in three months if we weren't successful.
My cycle has always been exactly 28 days so when I didn't start on the 2nd I started wondering if the stars had aligned. I still can't figure out how we tried for over a year with nothing and now it appears that I've managed to catch that egg twice in the last three months.
I've tested the last three mornings and all three appear to be BFP's. How can I tell if it is an evap or the real deal? I tried taking pictures to post but none turned out. I finally called the doctor today and she said not to come in until I'm around 10 weeks so my appointment isn't until the end of April. I'm scared this will end just like last time so right now I'm oddly okay with this I think I'm pg but not entirely sure thing that I have going on. I'm scared to find out that for sure and then end up losing it again. At least now I can fool myself that I wasn't really pg and the tests were just wrong if AF shows up.
welcome to the board hun! It is pretty rare to get 3 evap lines in a row, so I would say that you're pregnant! You could try a digital test for more reassurance - i think it's pretty impossible to get a false result on them (unless you get a not pregnant & are!)
I'm Emma (26), Mum to Gaby (3) & 24w pregnant with Emersyn (due June 23)
Hi and congrats!! It actually isn't that uncommon for women to be more fertile after they have been pregnant (whether a m/c or if they've just had a baby). This board is a wonderful place to hang out, hope you like it here! Congrats again!
Thanks everyone. I bought a different brand of tests so we'll see what they say in the morning. When I was testing before the m/c, I thought it was supposed to look like the dark line on the box so I threw away about five positive tests. Now I've got myself really doubting whether I can read these tests or not. Digital might be the way to go.
