Something just doesn't sound right with this. The mother would have known the gun was real and how could the father put it within her reach and go to sleep. Who grabs a gun in the daytime for a prowler? Why wasn't the safety on.
Sorry, but it just doesn't add up and I hope it's fully investigated.
I mean I don't have a Wii....but I'm sorry a 3 year old is not stupid. If she knew what he Wii control looked like why would she pick up a gun and place her finger in the trigger and pull it. I mean I understand the remote has a trigger. But, I don't think they look anything alike! Why would you ever leave a gun laying around near a child. Especially where the child play!
UGH! This just makes me so sick! I really hope that the police does a thorough investigation. I wouldn't be surprised if the stepfather didi it and is trying to blame the child. Something doesn't add up.
It does sound rather fishy. Poor poor little girl. Even if she thought it was a wii controller - how did she manage to do that? I mean if she shot another kid - I could see it - but herself - no way.
My parents always taught me - the best way to get a family member shot was to keep a loaded gun in the house. (i mean - yes I am sure there are very responsible ways to own a gun) but there are way too many tragic stories of kids playing with them.
Thank you Kiliki for my first beautiful Siggie!
