...flesh colored water balloons. With toes sticking out. I swear I slosh when I walk. And check out that ankle definition. Sexy!

(wow, I need a pedicure!)

It's starting to really bother me because it's gotten worse this last week. It's nearly impossible for me to put my feet up at work and by the end of the day it will be worse (this is what they look like at noon-ish ).

I'm probably being paranoid that this is a sign of something worse than normal (I hope) but I'm glad I have an appt. with my Dr. Monday.

So has anyone else here experienced this at 22 weeks? Somebody? Anybody?

I'm really freaking myself out about Pre-E (given that my BP has been up and down borderline high). I've got no hand or facial swelling so far but this feet swelling seems excessive for 22 weeks....actually it really started a couple weeks ago and has just gotten worse.

~~~~~UPDATE~~~~~
I didn't end up calling the Dr. last night (I guess I just figured they would tell me to stay off my feet, elevate them & drink water). This morning when I woke up they were still a bit swollen - they are usually completely normal in the morning - but I guess that was because it was so extreme yesterday. I did go out for a bit earlier today and they did puff up some again, but I've been a couch potato all afternoon with my feet up and they are about 95% normal. Yay! But...I'm afraid Monday will be a repeat of Friday at work. I'm going to go about my normal work day Monday so that my Dr. can see just how swollen they get (appt. at 4:00pm)...I'm dreading what he's going to say. This is just way too early for restrictions or being off of work. My BP is perfectly normal - even with my feet at their worst yesterday afternoon, it was like 115/70, so that makes me feel better. Oh, and I did get some support hose today...I despise socks and stockings of any kind...my feet are going to be crying for flip flops this summer when they're cooped up in grandma hose!!!
Oh goodness! I don't think I am any help in asking if it is normal or not (because I don't really know). I swelled at the end of my pregnancy with DD and today my hands were swelling a little (but I think it is because we went for a walk and it was warmer outside). But not as early as you and not that much. I am glad you have an appointment soon. Have you talked with your OB about this yet? Make sure you are drinking plenty of water.
KUP... and hopefully the other ladies will have better advice.
I had high blood pressure with both pregnancies and my feet never really swelled up.
Here is a picture of my feet last pregnancy. I was seven months pregnant. If my feet looked like your I'd call my OB.
Ok... I was just checking back to see what the other ladies said. The more I thought about it... the more I think if my feet were that swollen I would get on the phone and call my OB. That's why they have on-call doctor's at my practice! Better to be safe...
I would be contacting your ob... swelling *can* be a sign of pre-E, and that's certainly something you want to get checked out for ASAP, rather than just waiting. that said - plenty of women do just retain extra water while pregnant, and do swell from early on
Yeah, Girl! I would definitely give your doctor a ring....I think you are a little more than normal pregnancy swelling. I hope everything is OK but don't put it off!
Krystal...I just read another really interesting "remedy" for swelling yesterday. The remedy is to spend 1 hour in water every 48 hours (like a pool or a lake...not just a bathtub). I guess it helps redistribute swelling and increases urination and water output from the body. They say the effects last 2 days which is why you only need to do it every 48 hours. Interesting!
Interesting...I have a really big hot tub and I can put it on a non-hot setting...I may have to try that! Thanks.
Oh Krystal... They are some swollen feet!!! I think your Dr is going to limit your activity... I know you don't want to hear that.. But that swelling is bad! And even though your B/P is ok right now.. they really have to monitor you closely...
Please KUP.... And keep those feet up!
