It was a great appointment! Sorry it took so long to update.

OK, first off, I took in my new BP cuff and it read very close to the one at the office - it was actually a bit higher, so I think I can consider my home readings accurate. Yay!

My feet were not too swollen today so I showed him the pic from Friday. He reviewed it and told me I looked like Shrek. I didn't realize ogre feet was an official diagnosis, but hey, it was a pretty accurate diagnosis. He is not concerned (at this point) that the swelling was indicative of Pre-E because my BP was very good that day (115/70). He told me that in addition to keeping my feet up at work and getting up and walking around frequently, that I needed to start wearing compression stockings (I already bought some) and that is the only thing thatís going to help with the swelling. And he did acknowledge that I would be looking very good Ė stylish even Ė in my shorts, knee highs and comfortable shoes this summer. Great. Canít wait.

Iím getting another u/s at around 26-28 weeks because it turns out that they didnít get a good shot of the heart at my 19 week one. The tech told me that I had to come back because she couldnít get the heart pics but then the radiologist said he saw all 4 chambers (which is what my Dr. reported to me). Well apparently the radiologist corrected his report and said there needed to more heart pics Ė not that thereís a problem, just that he couldnít see it well enough. Hmmmm, maybe he should have listened to the techÖ.Anyway, thatís fine with me. Iíll gladly take another u/s.

I gained 5 lbs this past month putting my grand total at 19 lbs. Not great, but my doc is OK with it. He thinks my body will gain what it needs to gain and as long as Iím eating well and at least walking for exercise I should be fine. I really like his attitude about my weight.

I will have my GTT a few weeks early at 26 weeks and told me that as long as everything stays as is then I should have no problems going to Florida in June. I was measuring good, babyís hb was in the 150s, he gave me a clean bill of healthÖ.for now. Basically, I am the patient that threatens to be problematic, but so far Iím not making good on my threats. And he said that I have many Drís in the practice thinking about me and following my case just to make sure they donít miss anything.

And then he gave me a hug.

I my Dr.!

sounds like a good appointment and what a pity, you have to go back to see your little boy in a few weeks time I had to go back for a repeat u/s after my 20w u/s too, because they didn't get a good look at the heart, kidneys & face
